Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco, fresh from a Super Bowl MVP Sunday, should soon be the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL, according to his agent.
Remember, Peyton Manning has a five-year, $96 million contract, and $18 million of that is guaranteed.
Is Flacco worth that much?
You might also remember the Ravens had a chance to close the deal on a Flacco contract last summer. Now, you can bet they will have to use a good chunk of that Super Bowl money to keep him in the fold.
That's what one game can do for you, though admittedly Flacco's play all through the playoffs was excellent.
Still, it got me thinking where his Super Bowl performance stood in historical perspective. Does it make the Top 10 list? It does mine, barely.
